Imbabali Retreat and Venue offer a variety of activities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, black tubes and fishing on a catch and release basis in our small dam. The fish you can expect to catch are Bass, Carp, Tilapia and the odd Yellow. Please bring your own tackle, preferably barbless hooks and bait.
A communal braai and seating area overlooking the dam is available, remember to bring your costume and towel for a dip in the dam or our sparkling swimming pool. Refreshments are available for the thirsty and hungry. For some light-hearted fun, there is darts, pool and table tennis.
Our farm offers a short walk of approximately 1.5km to the river and will delight any birders with various bird species. In the late afternoon the welcome calls of the jackal can often be heard. A picnic basket made up as required, with a blanket and pillows for a romantic rendezvous or that special occasion around the dam or in our manicured gardens. A variety of Day Tours such as gin & beer tasting, game drives, horse riding, hiking, quad trails, archery, clay pigeon shooting, zip lining, helicopter rides, hot air ballooning or a tour to the historical Sterkfontein Caves and Maropeng interactive experience are on offer where you will be collected from Imbabali Retreat and Venue and returned.
