Experience the magic of off-grid living in one of our three cottages  Our two catered cottages offer personalized dining experiences, including candlelit dinners under the stars.

Gecko  is surrounded by acacia bush, creating a truly magical atmosphere. 30 candles on the wall, a cozy fireplace and Victorian bath invite relaxation. Outside, the couch, sundowner deck, and secret forest campfire make it the perfect romantic retreat. Gecko has a solar geyser (no sun, no heat), an outdoor shower with a tree view, and an indoor bath. Most sedan vehicles can reach Gecko, but please note that there is a 3-kilometer dirt road.

Agama  offers a magnificent view of the Magalies Mountain range from its hilltop location. The walls, lit by 30 candles, and bath with a view create a truly romantic ambiance. Solar water heating warms the two-person bath indoors and the outdoor shower with a mountain view (no sun, no heat). The indoor fireplace and couch create a great romantic atmosphere and are as environmentally friendly as possible. Agama is accessible only by high-clearance vehicles like bakkies or SUVs. We offer transfers from the main house for guests who prefer it. Neither Gecko nor Agama has catering facilities or a fridge, but we can provide a cooler box with ice and flasks of boiling water for tea and coffee.

Chameleon is our family-friendly farm cottage. You can self-cater or let us serve you meals at an additional cost per meal. This traditional, off-grid farm cottage offers a mind-unwinding panoramic view of the farmland and braai facilities. Children love feeding chickens and sheep and being woken by a rooster. The cottage has a peaceful, historical feel, and the main bedroom features white linen, candles, and lamps. The neat and accessible kitchen and dining area offer the choice of solar-charged electric lights or romantic paraffin lamps. An additional bedroom on an outside stoep has a single bed and a bunk bed but no private bathroom.

Dream Lodge is the ideal getaway for couples seeking to escape modern technology and relax, or for small families wanting to experience farm life. We can assist guests with lighting the old wood-burning stove if it's cold or if you're feeling adventurous. Alternatively, the gas cooking hob, gas fridge, solar lights, and geyser provide a comfortable stay with minimal fossil fuel use.

With numerous walking routes, over 200 bird species, privacy, and attentive service, Dream Lodge is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and reconnect with yourself and your partner.
