I grew up on a farm in the Magaliesburg area and matriculated at Bekker High School. After National service I obtained a National diploma in Agricultural plant production at the old Pretoria Technicon known today as the Tshwane University of Technology.
After my studies I travel extensively for 2.5 years in the Middle East and Europe visiting and work in many different countries.
In 1987 I join our family business in the construction industry (salvage (retailing) and demolition) and is today a senior partner in this company.
In 2015 my wife Karen and myself bought our current farm and made the big move from city to farm life and moved onto the farm permanently. The farm is in the area Maanhaarrand, just a short drive out of the village of Magaliesburg. Landor stud was formed where we farm actively with Warmblood showjumpers, Meat master sheep and Dexter Cattle.
